ok so this is really exciting. NEW BLOG.

what really did it for me was, as soon as i typed the title of this post, wordpress displayed a little thingy showing what the permalink for this post would be. I CAN LINK TO SPECIFIC POSTS!!!! can you believe it?! all you bloggers are reading this shaking your heads, like, eileen, this all became possible about 8 years ago. well, i didn’t know because i stubbornly clung to my hand-programmed dinosaur-style html code website for .. (*counting*) .. yeah about 8 years or so. (right? i definitely had a “web journal” freshman year of college..).

anyway. so all this is just almost too much. you can search posts?! (before i just clicked through all my various archive pages and did control-F). you can categorize your shit?!?! OH MY GOD!

AWESOME. what took me so long?!

anyway, enough tagboard spam. and now we can have for-real thread-like discussions now instead of battling it out on a 2 x 2 square. cool
